Queen Elizabeth was somehow able to remain above the fray during the various scandals in recent decades from the Charles/Camilla affair, Diana's untimely death, Meghan Markle, etc. Dignity and poise aren't words that come to mind with Chuck. Doofus does, however.
The top family triggers follower instincts in many people. Especially if they are admirable in gender-typical ways, with beautiful princesses being especially loved. Part of our cultural heritage allows us to borrow the English royals in this role.

The Queen Mother has survived every James Bond.

My favorite Queen Elizabeth meme.

RIP Queen Elizabeth

Biden says he will attend Queen Elizabeth's funeral

https://www.politico.com/news/2022/0...neral-00055948

Thank dog we now have a president who knows how diplomacy works. The Orange Buffoon made such a mess of things... Raise your hand if you think he'll ever be invited back...

Biden will not travel with a delegation to Queen Elizabeth's funeral

https://www.cnn.com/2022/09/11/polit...ral/index.html

Quote:
Buckingham Palace did not invite President Joe Biden to assemble a delegation to attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II next week, and instead extended a specific invitation for only the President and first lady, a White House official told CNN.

The White House announced Sunday that Biden had formally accepted the invitation and would be accompanied by the first lady.
ROFL. Buckingham Palace obviously didn't want even the remotest possibility of the Orange Buffoon attending.
