Health care money goes to pay off people for not making something? There is obviously too much money floating around the health care system. IMO it should go back to workers.

It will be interesting to see what the court does with it. My guess is they will say it is fine. Everything is fine anymore. It's chaos.

Indeed, my friend. The bloat of profits are obscene. The FTC is maintaining that it is collusion and a breach of the anti trust laws. I'm hoping that the Supremes start reflecting the will of the people instead of the corporations but then I'm probably just being naive.

On a sidenote, anyone catching the series "Continuum" on the Sci-Fi Channel?

I doubt there is a problem in antitrust. The contracts at issue allow generic manufacturers to make the product prior to patent expiration. In that regard they are probably worded as a prepaid license with an effective date in the future.

IMO a bigger issue is how all the money got to floating around the system in the first place. We spend more on health care than any other developed nation and die the fastest. The money obviously isn't going towards health care. It's going toward bankers' yachts.

Here is a presentation the drug company gave to a bank a few months ago.

Their Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer used to be their patent counsel. Figures.

Sorry, but what exactly did you all expect. For years I have been handed the BS that America is subsidising the rest of the world because their high prices pay for all the research.
