We have remarkably similar musical tastes (or at least we did 50 years ago). I think I own virtually every LP you have posted to this board. Maybe it has to do with growing up in the same area in the late 60's and early 70's.

Could be. The DC area has always had a good music scene.

The missus and I are heading up to LA to see Hot Tuna and Little Feat next week at the UA Theater built in 1927. It used to be where the televangelist Gene Scott spewed his nonsense. The Ace Hotel which houses the theater is an LA landmark. It still has a massive neon sign that says 'Jesus Saves' on the rear of the building. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ace_Hotel_Los_Angeles

Two absolute favorites of DC area music fans. I think DC was the absolute hotbed of Little Feat fandom in the country. They're definitely on the short list of my favorite American bands. And of course, Hot Tuna is a DC product. Both Casady and Kaukonen were local lads.

Nils Lofgren, Roy Buchanan and Danny Gatton are other local favorites. Did you ever go see Grin, Nils Lofgren's band back in the day? Grin's drummer still owns a record shop in Frederick.

Saw Grin many times. Last time I saw Hot Tuna was at American University back in the '70s.

Grin used to play at My Mother's Place at 18th & M quite frequently, including Sunday afternoon gigs.
