Horatio Alger stories just about always involve some rich person being impressed by the striver's moxie, talent, charm, etc, and bestowing opportunity upon them. Did such an angel play a role in your wealth acquisition, ZJ? Can you see where differently-cultured persons may find such angels extremely hard-to-find?

Amazing how someone can keep repeating the same tired old mantra of "Cadillac driving welfare queens" to this group, which AFAIK contains NO ONE who currently lives on government assistance. Some of us are even quite successful in our chosen fields.

Cognitive Dissonance, anyone?

Yep.
