A little history, for the record he got his start under Ronald Reagan. ((gasp))

A federal judge on Tuesday ruled that State Department officials and top aides to Hillary Clinton should be questioned under oath about whether they intentionally thwarted federal open records laws by using or allowing the use of a private email server throughout Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state from 2009 to 2013.

I read that. It looks like a last ditch hail Mary from 'Judicial Watch' since nothing has panned out from EmailGate. YMMV.

Emmet Sullivan is a widely respected jurist with a lot of experience with FOIA cases and is fully familiar with the smell of bullshit. As for EmailGate panning out, it seems to be happening before our very eyes.

We'll see. I still think it's a ridiculous partisan witch hunt in the same vein as BENGHAAAaaazigate.

Actually, it was the Benghazi investigation that stumbled upon Hillary's email problems. Now, however, it's made it to a Federal court and is also under investigation by State and the FBI. That's not exactly a happy place for a Presidential candidate to be.

Sullivan also suggested from the bench that he might at some point order the department to subpoena Clinton and Abedin to return all emails related to Clinton’s private account, not just records their camps previously deemed work-related and returned.
“There has been a constant drip, drip, drip of declarations. When does it stop?” Sullivan said, “This case is about the public’s right to know.”
|
So an official court sanctioned investigation has begun and this will continue through the election season. Hillary should suspend her candidacy now as this is not going to be good. This is not a toothless congressional investigation like Benghazi.

"FOIA law generally gives agencies the benefit of the doubt and sets a high bar for plaintiffs’ requests for discovery. However, one similar public records battle during Bill Clinton’s presidency lasted 14 years and led to depositions of the president’s White House counsel and chief of staff."
i.e.? This can be stretched out but there's nothing here of consequence.

No it doesn't. It says bad things about the major parties and their pathways of thought. Their management as it were.
We see this in all kinds of business not just politics. Management becomes old, stale and out of touch. The decisions are made based on past templates of success.

Absolutely.
The leaderships of both parties are corrupt and need to be overthrown.
