So Donny is admitting to lying about the money, and to having the affair, at least to anyone with any sense. What will the Trumpies do? Not much, I expect. They're under Donny's spell.

Giuliani seems to be just as clueless as our Dear Dotard, and in fact even speaks like Trump.

On being informed that Cohen has given a statement about paying Stormy with his own funds without Trump's knowledge and not reimbursed,
Quote:
“He did? Look, I don’t know, I haven’t investigated that, no reason to dispute that, no reason to dispute his recollection,” he said. “I like Michael a lot, you like Michael a lot. I feel very bad he’s been victimized by this. The president feels even worse. The fact is, just trust me, they’re going to come up with no violations there. The payments are perfectly legal.”
Dumb and then he get even dumber.
Quote:
“He fired Comey because Comey would not, among other things, say that he wasn’t a target of the investigation,” Giuliani said. “He’s entitled to that. Hillary Clinton got that, and he couldn’t get that,” Giuliani said. “So he fired him, and he said, ‘I’m free of this guy.’ ”
Does he even make any sense here other than saying Trump fired Comey for no particular reason other than to end the FBI investigation of Trump-Russia "there was no collusion" collusion.

Trump should seriously consider firing Giuliani post haste, otherwise Mueller will need to add Giuliani to his Christmas shopping list.

Trump now confirms what Giuliani said to Hannity, that Cohen was repaid through monthly retainers for his payoff to Stormy. This is getting more and more bizarre and this admission within a day of Ty Cobb's retirement (ouster) too.
Quote:
Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

Mr. Cohen, an attorney, received a monthly retainer, not from the campaign and having nothing to do with the campaign, from which he entered into, through reimbursement, a private contract between two parties, known as a non-disclosure agreement, or NDA. These agreements are........very common among celebrities and people of wealth. In this case it is in full force and effect and will be used in Arbitration for damages against Ms. Clifford (Daniels). The agreement was used to stop the false and extortionist accusations made by her about an affair,........despite already having signed a detailed letter admitting that there was no affair. Prior to its violation by Ms. Clifford and her attorney, this was a private agreement. Money from the campaign, or campaign contributions, played no roll in this transaction.

I can actually believe everything the Dotard is saying except one little detail; why would anyone need to sign a document to the effect that something did not happen?

Good news is that neither Trump nor Giuliani are ever going to shut up so hope they are on Faux and Frauds daily. If there is a grand strategy, it seems to be to make the case for Stormy's lawsuit.

Whichever lawyer wrote this tweet for Donny must have snuck in the grammatical error (roll) to make us think it’s actually penned by Donny.

Yes. I did not see it and yes, the tweet is well composed and reads like a legal statement.

I have given up trying to keep track of where things are at in the investigation. There is so much mud slinging and lies flying around, it is just exhausting!

I am happy to wait and see what Mueller comes up with because that is the only conclusion that really matters.

Do you remember what Nikki Haley said recently to Kudlow?

Trump's lawyer made up the list of questions and leaked it.

"Federal investigators have wiretapped the phone lines of Michael Cohen, the longtime personal lawyer for President Donald Trump who is under investigation for a payment he made to an adult film star who alleged she had an affair with Trump, according to two people with knowledge of the legal proceedings involving Cohen.
It is not clear how long the wiretap has been authorized, but NBC News has learned it was in place in the weeks leading up to the raids on Cohen's offices, hotel room, and home in early April, according to one person with direct knowledge." NBC
