Now you see why we had to invent the "War on Terror". Our military presence around the world had become, with the possible exception of South Korea, an anachronism once the Soviet Union collapsed and the cold War ended.

Our global military presence was a very good thing for what Eisenhower wanted to call the "military/political/industrial complex". We had to conjure up a new enemy to justify continuation of the huge pentagon budget.

who is a no gooder?

The educated socially conscience folks on the coasts or the Palin clan?

My though would be that the uneducated would be of less value. To be honest I can't see Canada accepting them.

No, this isn't The Onion or SNL. This is an actual commercial (I can't really call it a PSA) run by CEI, the Competitive Enterprise Institute. They are a Libertarian/Objectivist think tank funded by corporations like Pfizer, Exxon and Ford as well as right wing foundations like the Scaife Foundations.

I suppose it's anyone who ever at any time in their life depended on the government for anything.

You mean grandma should move to Canada?
LOL, she and Canada would probably both be better off.

” Why the abrasive arrogant tone again?”
“You really are a gem.”
“You are about the most off putting poster I have ever encountered.”

Flattery will get you nowhere. If presenting an opinion other than your own, straight up without meaningless platitudes earns me this in your eyes, then so be it. I shall wear them proudly on my arm like a badge of honor.

“You know it seems to me you have adopted a belief and now twist everything to fit it. Read the replies in earnest and not in indignation. You may come away with a different impression.”

This is fabulous! You have made this comment more or less to me and others in the past. I guess it's of the "template" variety for you. I tell you what, It's not working for me yet, but I will have another go at it, promise.

It is, isn't it? I particularly like the part where everything goes dark and dead because we were foolish enough to regulate "life".

You were rude and arrogant just like when you first posted here declaring yourself the new sheriff in town. I simply addressed that as well as exposing
the false hoods in your post.

No not at all. On occasion it is obvious that this is the case and I was simply wondering if you might see it if I pointed it out.

I am happy that you receive such satisfaction from creating needless conflict. I would be shocked if you did not continue this behavior.
So be it, I have no control over your approach here.

Do you realize that you were unable to refuse the substantive portions of my post?
