What? No Props for Sanford?
So a broken down, damaged goods Republican ex-Governor posts a double digit win last night for a congressional seat that hasn't seen a Republican ass sitting in it for over 30 years, and no one here has posted about it yet? He handily beats the more heavily funded Democrat opponent? After so many of you have so boldly announced the implosion and death of the Republican party?
Why, I'm shocked!

SC 1st district went +18% for Romney in 2012. No surprise there.
You might read this before trumpeting bullcrap... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_C...ional_district
There hasn't been a Democrat in that seat since '81. It's all been lard assed Repugnants for the last thirty plus years.

Yes, my bad.
Still, its an interesting development that a well funded Dem with a bit of name recognition couldn't even beat Mark Sanford.

It's South Carolina for Pete's sake, home of Ms. Lindsay Graham, what else is there to say.

What's interesting to note is that Sanford is the bottom of the barrel in the Republican Party. The best they have for that seat is an adulterer that used public funds to fly to Argentina to bang his mistress? Imagine the margin if they hadn't put up an absolute cretin. Someone who has at least a whiff of honor and respectability.
If I were you, I'd be ruminating the depths of depravity and desperation my party has sunk to.
I'm glad I have no party. I just happen to find half-wit Democrats to be a little less disgusting than scheming and manipulative Republicans at the moment.

Or maybe the republicans finally found a candidate with a resume that's attractive to democrats.

How's that 'Southern strategy' thingy working out for your party, Whell?
Sure sounds like that sick, racist and good ol' boy shit has come home to roost.
