Here is a new wrinkle on the Giuliani defamation judgement.

The total payment ordered by the jury breaks down as follows: between $16 and $17 million each to Freeman and Shaye in compensatory damages, $20 million each for the intentional infliction of emotional distress, and a further $75 million in punitive damages. In the wake of the ruling, Giuliani, vowing to appeal the verdict, said that he did not "regret a damn thing" and decried the jury's order for what he called its "absurdity."

And now here is the wrinkle though any judge hearing the appeal is going to make a note of his comments and this is like our Favorite Moron claiming I did nothing wrong after fomenting an insurrection (fight like hell) and stealing classified documents.

"One of the things that is a bit of an obstacle to an appeal is the idea that in Georgia, a person has to post what's known as an appeal bond," she said. "And the idea behind an appeal bond is that an appeal could be filed for good faith reasons, it can also be filed simply to delay the pay day, and so to avoid the latter, litigants are required to pay in advance an appeal bond which is usually something more than the amount of the judgment, so that it's there in case there is a finality in the case. I don't know that Rudy Giuliani is going to get an appeal bond, so he may not be able to do it at all."

McQuade continued, noting that there is a potential option for Giuliani to petition the court and argue that the amount he has been ordered to pay is excessive. Even if this was successful, however, she said that the former mayor would still be on the hook for "tens of millions of dollars."

Rudy Giuliani must immediately pay the $148 million he owes two Georgia women he falsely accused of helping steal the 2020 election, a federal judge ruled Wednesday in a scathing order accusing the former Trump attorney of ongoing dishonesty.

Judge Beryl A. Howell wrote that there is a strong danger Giuliani is likely to hide his assets from plaintiffs Ruby Freeman and Wandrea ArShaye “Shaye” Moss and is unlikely to succeed in having last week’s jury verdict overturned or cut down on appeal.

This may not help him. Per the article, "Legal analysts say ... that debts for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress cannot be eliminated through bankruptcy... However, he could attempt to re-litigate whether his conduct was, in the words of bankruptcy law, “willful and malicious.”

Now Rudy is hawking diet pills and who does he remind us of?

In livestreams on Tuesday and Wednesday night, Mr Giuliani showed his followers how to make Christmas tree ornaments out of bottles of Balance of Nature dietary pills, urging them to help him "fight the traitors" by buying some.

"Balance of Nature should be taken every single day to make sure you get your vegetables and your fruits," he said. "I expect you to have these in Christmas stockings for all those that you love, okay?"

He did not mention that the supplements were temporarily taken off the market last month by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which said they had been wrongly advertised as helping to prevent or mitigate diseases such as cancer and Covid-19 without having been approved for that purpose.
