If he runs it will matter little how the voting shakes out. He will declare a victory and the GOP will in all likelihood make it so. They are already stacking the deck with new voter laws and how the vote is counted.

If he loses in a landslide he'll hold that up as proof the election was rigged. A portion of the tRumplican party will go along and a portion will not. How the ratio breaks, we'll have to see. If he loses in a close one the tRumplicans of the GOP will do all they can to see the decision goes his way. Any way you slice it, we're in for a rough ride. The GQP isn't done with the insurrection just yet.

I was listening to RW radio yesterday on my drive and there was a host fawning over how good a disrupter Trump is along with how he will solve all of our problems such as energy, inflation and Ukraine. No explanation of how, just take him at his word, words of a demented crook.

Perhaps cementing Trump as the 2024 GOP candidate is an accidental gift from the bumbling CNN.

A judge in New York has ruled that Donald Trump is liable for defaming writer E Jean Carroll for a second time.

Judge Lewis Kaplan issued a “partial summary judgment” that the former president had made defamatory statements about Ms Carroll in 2019 after she went public with claims he had raped her decades earlier.

A civil trial scheduled for January will only determine how much the former president should pay her in monetary damages, Judge Kaplan ruled.

In May, a jury found Mr Trump liable for sexual assault and defamation of the former Elle advice columnist and awarded her $5m in damages.

Yep...no arguing the judge's ruling in January...the only thing his shyster lawyers can do is try to minimize the amount of the judgement. One would think that if one has already been found to have committed defamation on somebody, that a second defamation will have an even bigger penalty.

However, that assumes that what we have is a "justice" system. The only real justice typically dealt out in this "legal" system is incidental...it's a competitive system (like any competition), that generates winners and losers, wealth for the most successful winners, and in the case of the law, very little justice.
