Although, 'convicted' is a good out if Trump hasn't been convicted by 24.
Meh.

Donnie will run and win. Then grant political asylum to Putin when he's ousted, with full diplomatic immunity.

Ease up on the rotgut, hoss. You're fearless leader is gonna spend the rest of his days in Leavenworth or Rayford.

I thought that too when I believed he'd be made to pay for his crimes.

Not if the GOP has anything to do with it. If Donny and his crew goes down the Orange stain associated with supporting him will drag down a substantial part of the GOP with him. With Donny's influence neutered the GOP's efforts to lead a radicalized Republicon base will be like trying to herd cats.

We'll have to invent a new civil defense drill to cover Putin's entourage cruising around the USA with diplomatic immunity.

1) Lock up your daughters.

2) Lock up your wives.

They may have diplomatic immunity but any Ukrainians they may encounter here may not care.

Sen. Susan Collins says she will vote to confirm Ketanji Brown Jackson to Supreme Court

https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...-jackson-vote/

Quote:
“In my view, the role the Constitution clearly assigns to the Senate is to examine the experience, qualifications, and integrity of the nominee,” Collins said Wednesday. “It is not to assess whether a nominee reflects the ideology of an individual Senator or would rule exactly as an individual Senator would want.”

A Glimpse Into a Fearful, Angry, Imaginary World
Ginni Thomas’s texts offer a window into a dark and conspiratorial mindset.

https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/ar...ligion/629415/

Quote:
In the case of Ginni Thomas and Mark Meadows, we are able to glimpse a fearful, angry, imaginary world that a significant part of our country, including America’s 45th president, inhabits. It is one reason our political culture is so damaged, why dialogue is often so hard. It’s difficult to sustain a democracy when there aren’t shared truths, when false perceptions become false gods. And what becomes really dangerous is when people with power—of whatever party or ideology—don’t just enter a hall of mirrors but try to force the rest of us to follow them there. They have to be resisted by individuals who speak out and institutions that step up.

Over the past decade, too many people who knew better didn’t speak up and too many institutions didn’t step up. As a result, fanatics took power, and as the events since November 3, 2020, have shown, they don’t give it up without violence.

My fear is this nightmare is one try as we might. Is likened to when one is experiencing sleep paralysis. The feeling of helplessness and the knowing you can't even scream.

So is this time in history. This will play out to a conclusion of our dislike I'm afraid. They, this cult of hate will have it no other way.

A new dark ages may well be upon us.

One with Nukes!
