Rest In Peace Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela passed today at the age of 95, a truly remarkable man.

An exceptional person. He was all class. RIP.

Oh, Man does that suck. Well, he lived a full and amazing life, leaving Black South Africans better off in his wake. How many can say they did such great things with their lives? I know I can't.

RIP Nelson Mandela!

My dad worked at a power plant in South Africa in the mid 50s. Many white folks tried to get him to smuggle cash/jewelry out of the country, they all believed 'the blacks would run them into the sea.'

I think largely because of Mandela, it didn't happen. This is a wonderful legacy. RIP.

Pete, I made exactly that argument to a man who accused him of being a Communist. It was easy;

"Mandela was a Communist!"

"Really? So, South Africans languished under a Soviet style regime under Mandela?"

"Well, no, but..........."
