Insulting the voters isn't exactly a winning strategy. You would think her campaign would have learned something after the backlash they got when Madeline Albright made her "special place in Hell" comment before the New Hampshire Primary. But then, she's such a nasty woman, she can't help herself.

American people don't want to hear the truth, they want to hear fantasy, they want to hear that which confirms what they already believe. I don't know when Americans started rejecting truth. These deplorables, these malcontents are miserable nasty people who want to drag everyone down to their level in the gutter. They know no high road. They want everyone to be miserable. Deplorables, the vessel that has been corroded by hate. And no vessel has been more corroded than my friend Tom Joad. I have watch the insanity take hold of my friend over the past decade and destroy him from the inside out. He used to be a good honorable man of righteous anger. He let the anger turn to hate and it has destroyed him.

This is why our country is failing and will continue to fail.

The best thing we can do to combat the deplorables? Be happy, be polite. Ignore their insane rantings.

I disagree. Hillary herself was a very weak candidate and only got the nomination through cheating. All she managed to do was to point the finger at herself. A politician never gets to win by insulting the voters. Besides what did Hillary to present herself as a better choice? She was either hiding or slamming Trump.
