Just for laughs, this neighborhood. The corrupt city officials at the time bulldozed the old downtown leaving empty blocks and all those related jobs gone so the people would go to the new mall on the other side of town. That and depression from WW2 activity set this up. Kind of a 1.5 square mile Detroit.

The Iron Triangle is also known as a high-crime area and has become known as a 'warzone' in neighboring cities. (In fact, its name reflects that of the Iron Triangle of the Vietnam war era.)

Our youngest son now lives in Louisville. We've enjoyed the Speed Art Museum, Muhammad Ali center and the Louisville Slugger museum/factory. Out of town a bit, we've enjoyed a few distillery visits, particularly Buffalo Trace, Heaven Hill and Barton and horse races at Keeneland in Lexington.

I think of all the distilleries Buffalo Trace is my favorite. But haven't checked out the newest ones in downtown Louisville yet. But BT will be hard to beat.
