Did I ever tell you that you are the wisest man I ever virtually met. When my clients ignore my advice, they make money for me.

Labor lawyer. Our clients are primarily unions and working people.

We have a couple of standing jokes around the office. An Irish lawyer's blessing: "God bless the man who sues my client."

The comment in the previous post had to do with what we jokingly refer to as our most profitable situation - We give the correct advice, the client does not take the advice and gets sued. He paid us for the good advice and has to pay us again for ignoring it.

Regards,

D-Ray

I tend to see myself as centrist. But, the crazier it gets here, in this Carnival of Dysfunction known as the United States, the further I drift to the left.

At one time I was a Republican, and a fairly conservative one at that. But, over time I became disenchanted with the GOP. I saw and heard things that I did not care for. Now, I'm just about done with them. I look for a GOP poitician that I don't think is an asshole, and there just doesn't seem to be much water left in the well.

The sad part is that I don't have a much higher opinion of the Democrats. I think they are just now realizing that the GOP has been at war against them, while they were asleep. Incompetent and slow to wake up to the gathering storm.

And the Tea Party is just a bunch of dreamers being manipulated by the GOP, and yearning for days of yore that never really existed, IMHO.

QFT, unfortunately. The country needs two sane political parties. As it is, we have one insane one and one feckless one.

I'd ascribe slightly more insanity to the GOP and slightly more fecklessness to the Dem's, but it's very close to a toss-up. I dislike the Dem's but I dislike the GOP even more (for the last 10 years anyway).
