What do you call it when..............?

.............you reform society so that the safety net is weakened, or even eliminated as I've heard some of my countrymen suggest, so that; "Those who do not work, shall not eat."?

If you hold wages down crippling the ability of millions of Americans to save for their own financial security and/or retirement, then eliminate the social safety net so that few people have any choice but to continue working, no matter what life issues or working conditions one may encounter.......

What do you call that?

Mull it over for a while.

Dave

And George Orwell called it "Imagine a boot stomping on a face forever." It goes further than greed.

Yeah, that's the nice sounding label they've stuck on it. But, what is it when you create conditions meant to use economic pressure, rather than incentive, to induce people to work?

Instead of "Hard work has rewards." we change to "Work hard or we'll starve you.".

What is that?

And it's one of the deadly sins.

After reading The Fountainhead, I had no to desire to read Atlas Shrugged. Is Atlas shrugging because a universal higher authority wouldn't give a damn how we treat each other?

Read them both at seventeen when I was still a liberal. Even so I figured it was all BS. They even made a movie out of The Fountain head if memory serves, what a waste of good 35mm filmstock.

What do you call forced payment into a retirement fund that spends the money?
