I think that's probably why the "Romney Landslide"
never materialized.
There was also one poll I think back in the 1930's where they got their sample from motor vehicle license records. And of course a whole shitload of poor people didn't own cars back then so the poll was way off.
I've heard that they adjust for cell phones somehow. However during the 2012 election I must have been polled at least 10 times on my landline (being in a swing state like Florida can suck sometimes), and I never once got a single poll call on my cell phone.
Still, all that aside, the Democrats have a huge structural disadvantage this year, and they historically suck at mid-term turnout. So overall things look kind of bleak for us good guys.
