According to the latest news the President of the United States of America is a liar. This is such an incredible, such an unbelievable affront against Germany. A breathtaking scandal amongst so called "friends". WE ARE NOT NORTH KOREA! WE ARE NOT PAKISTAN!

You may consider my remarks being inappropriate and naive, you may argue: "The NSA does it's job as good as possible! Everybody spies at everybody!" May be right. But my sentiments are how they are.

However - no sympathies anymore for Mr. Obama (they had been anyway deteriorating in the last years). I really hope that Snwoden will break Obamas neck. Snowden has still a lot of arrows in his quiver.

Lying to the public is a way of life here in the USA. It has even been sanctioned by the courts. They call it freedom of speech.

Quote:
"Appellate Court Rules Media Can Legally Lie.

By Mike Gaddy. Published Feb. 28, 2003

On February 14, a Florida Appeals court ruled there is absolutely nothing illegal about lying, concealing or distorting information by a major press organization. The court reversed the $425,000 jury verdict in favor of journalist Jane Akre who charged she was pressured by Fox Television management and lawyers to air what she knew and documented to be false information. The ruling basically declares it is technically not against any law, rule, or regulation to deliberately lie or distort the news on a television broadcast."

...

The court did not dispute the heart of Akre's claim, that Fox pressured her to broadcast a false story to protect the broadcaster from having to defend the truth in court, as well as suffer the ire of irate advertisers. Fox argued from the first, and failed on three separate occasions, in front of three different judges, to have the case tossed out on the grounds there is no hard, fast, and written rule against deliberate distortion of the news.

The attorneys for Fox, owned by media baron Rupert Murdoch, argued the First Amendment gives broadcasters the right to lie or deliberately distort news reports on the public airwaves.

In its six-page written decision, the Court of Appeals held that the Federal Communications Commission position against news distortion is only a "policy," not a promulgated law, rule, or regulation.

FOX Reporters Fired For Reporting the Truth About Monsanto Milk
FOX NEWS Reporters (Steve Wilson & Jane Akre) uncover that most of the Milk in the USA and across some parts of the world is unsafe to drink due to Monsanto Corporation's POSILAC®, which has been proven to be a cancer-causing growth hormone.(known in short as "BGH" "BST" or "rBGH" ), but they were fired for attempting to inform people of the truth. (Important note: After a long court battle, the Court dismissed the whistle blowers protection for the reporters because the Court stated that there was no law to force that the NEWS must state the truth.

After a long court battle, the Court dismissed the whistle blowers protection for the reporters because the Court stated that there was no law to force that the NEWS must state the truth.

If you consumed or fed regular milk to your family today, there is more than a 90% chance that it was from a cow injected with BGH. (Bovine somatotropin developed by using recombinant DNA technology). You could be killing or harming your child every time you pour them a glass of milk, the same as pouring them a glass of slow acting poison. Please take action to ensure our children’s safety, for they can not protect themselves. Remember too, that pus (exudate, infection discharge) is almost always present cow’s milk… think about this fact the next time you feed your child this supposedly healthy product.

Nice, huh?

Why are you surprised, Chris? Every government does this to friends and foes alike. It is to be expected and nothing to really get worked up about.

Does anyone really believe that cell phones are secure from government (foreign and domestic) spying? Even encrypted communication can't be absolutely trusted, 'Enigma' anyone?

Why French and German politicians are screaming about being eavesdropped upon, might be a more pertinent question. I would be more alarmed if the opposite were true in light of our not too distant history with the European powers.

No offense intended, Chris.

Bluestreak and Bobabode!

I exactly emphazised that - even if it is in fucking crappy false English I think the remark might be understandable: "Everybody spies at everybody".

According to the news yesterday some 20 NSA spies are working in the US embassy in Berlin, just 800 meters away from the Kanzleramt and "xray" ANYTHING that happens there which is an outrageous impudence. The Kanzleramt is the German White House. Berlin is the heart of Germany. Think about that incident vice versa in Washington. Hey folks!!!!!

What about paying some bills political America instead of playing the drunk freaky shooting cowboy? Start with the debts in Germany, 100 billion dollars. Impudent behaviour of Obama against the political Germany. No excuse that he lied at Merkel on the telephone last week.

Sentiments, emotions, feelings, disappointments, you can't get them, you can't understand them. The close post war American-German relationship - even kind of friendship then - is nothing more than a sentimental memory now. My fury also relates from this bitter disappointment.

One more thing. My avatar is not about American and German politics and politcians, my avatar is about the American and German people.

".....the drunk freaky shooting cowboy." Ha, Ha! That was GW Bush, he's gone now.

Yes, it is an outrage. But, I still don't understand how anyone can be shocked by it. Just as the when the news broke here about the NSA data mining. Most of us have, at least suspected since the advent of the Patriot Act, that our government was spying on us. But, to millions of slow witted Americans it was a big surprise when Snowden "leaked" the news.

It's like someone suddenly realizing, at 40 years old, that there is no Santa Claus.

Perhaps when Euorpe loses two skyscrapers, 3000 innocent lives and four airliners full of innocent people they may wish we kept on spying. As for listening to Angela's phone calls it must have been boring as hell.

Just sayin
