DisneyCare for Vets!

You just can't make it up - had he not said it, no one would think this POV possible from the head of the VA.

Who picked this guy? He was head of P&G most of his life - prob. very good at selling soap - getting healthcare for veterans? Not so much.

Annoying vets - why can't they just be quiet and wait?

From his speech:

“The days to an appointment is really not what we should be measuring, we should be measuring the veterans’ satisfaction,” he said. “When you go to Disney, do they measure the number of hours you wait in line? What’s important? What’s important is: what’s your satisfaction with the experience?”

There is a lot of misinformation about the system that gets used for political talking points by the GOP. I know a whole bunch of retired Navy guys getting big disability payments every month from the VA ON TOP of their Navy retirements WHILE working full time as x-ray techs. For example a retired Navy guy gets $1600 a month from the Navy, files a disability claim, and then the VA adds $1500 to that (plus back pay from the day you got out!). So they get $3000 a month, half of which is tax free.

The VA has problems but you don't hear about the good stories like what I just told you.
