Am not fully understanding the refrain of the song. Apparent game metaphors: 'five-nine pairs,' ''pair of double twos,' 'blocking dominoes." Care to comment? Some particular cultural reference?

Hi ,.....dominoes 5 and 9 refer to the year 1959 of the triumph of the communist Castro revolution.

2 and 2 in the dominoes that is double 2 refers to the year 2020
.... more than 60 years without being able to play because the dominos are closed (blocking), in this case gagged, enslaved to an entire oppressed people.

I've never travelled outside of the CONUS (mainland USA). Or even seen an ocean.

Cuba is actually the only place I'd like to see before I die.
