Royals

No, not those rich folks across the pond. The ones in Kansas City won the American League Central division title tonight, with ten games left in the season. Those experts who picked the Royals for fourth place might have realized by now that last year's run to the World Series was not a fluke.

Regards,

Congrats. Both my O's and Nats fell short, unless Pope Francis intervenes with a couple of quick miracles.

Good for the Royals.

It doesn't look like the Braves will be in contention again during my lifetime.

I'll have to be satisfied remembering the the glory days of Glavine, Maddux, and Schmoltz.

You have been able to enjoy the recent Hall of Fame ceremonies then. By the way, you can watch former Brave Kris Medlen pitching for the Royals this post season.

The irony of that is that the rule was designed to keep balls from being rendered unusable because they get pine tar on them. Now, they throw the balls away if they bounce in the dirt. It seems like there is a new ball used for almost every pitch.
