Something more needs to be done to limit the carnage.

Long gun, rapid fire = semi-auto military assault rifle.

High-capacity/rapid fire tactical firearm.
We have a baked-in system that ensure those that shouldn't get firearms can easily do so, and those that shouldn't keep then may and can, "exercising" their constitutionally granted right to keep and bear arms, presumably to excersize an unenumerated right to armed insurrection, just because.
NRA sez "Suck it up, buttercup".

Suspect taken into custody, taken alive. Why is it that mass shooters often survive the arrest but otherwise un-armed suspects are shot dead?

Because most mass shooters are white while most unarmed suspects who are shot dead are black. Next question, but this time make it a bit harder.

Because he was carrying concealed legally. The Mall not allowing weapons is not any kind of offense. All they can do is ask him to leave.

So you are saying walking into a building packing a concealed weapon when signs are posted not allowed? No laws were broken? Only legal recourse is to walk the guy out?

Does not seem like a prudent action in today's world.

I have had CC permits in 4 states so I can only speak to those. No laws broken in those 4 states. My current has resoprity in 19 states and a quick look at a few of those shows no laws broken.

Many of us are responsible gun owners and make the effort to understand the responsibility and restrictions.
