Musk buys Twitter

Will Twitter go the way of Angry Man talk radio post-Fairness Doctrine with Musk's vision and motives?
Elon Musk bought Twitter. Here's what he says he'll do next https://www.npr.org/2022/04/25/10946...-twitter-plans

Twitter is more than a bulletin board, it's also a special interests echo chamber silo farm.

Diaper Don says he will stick with his social media platform. Ergo look for Donny to show up on Twitter any day now. Probably quickly followed by his gang of banned insurrectionists.

Never setup an account so have zero knowledge other then from others who do.

They have stated he is kinda a....troll with some of his posts.

With the vast majority of people getting their info from other then newspapers TV printed media... Rather then from the internet where paying for content is not to their liking, going to FB Twitter and the many others where disinformation runs amuck and seemingly unchecked.

He may well be seeing a chance to be in charge of the narrative for a vast portion of the planet. Controlling the flow of content. Hiding blocking opposing counter contents and amplifying his agendas....

AUSTIN (The Borowitz Report)—In his first official act since acquiring the social-media company, Elon Musk has deleted every Twitter account but his.

Minutes after the acquisition was announced, the two hundred million people who had Twitter accounts found that they could no longer tweet, and that the Tesla C.E.O.’s tweets were the only ones that appeared on the site.

In an official statement, Musk said that he deleted everyone else’s accounts to address “the No. 1 problem plaguing Twitter: the relentless flood of voices inferior to mine.”

The billionaire said that he would consider letting people other than himself back on Twitter “on a case-by-case basis.”

“If people can show that they have something to say that’s as smart as what I’ve got to say, they will get their accounts back,” he said. “So, not likely.”

Never joined. Turned out to be a good decision in light of this gazillionaire buying it lock, stock and commode. Even my Fartfacebook account is threadbare and defunct.

Reading in the Post it appears that California residents have a thermonuclear option regarding one's online footprint, much like the EU, I assume? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Califo...er_Privacy_Act

I thank Odin that I live in such an enlightened state where the GQP is a weak hot mess relegated to Sandy Eggo, Addledanto, Bakersfield, Lodi and Shastanistan.

Chicks LOL! Awesome.

Smart people can be so darn stupid.

Bob I wonder how long that will last. In Ohio the statehouse banned speed cameras but the state Supreme Court overturned it.
