That was, what 1971?

Have you seen the "Open Carry" rallies being held in the nations capital in the last few months?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...041802391.html

No overt threats? Perhaps. But, I would say a bunch of disgruntled guys toting very real and dangerous weapons around in the nations capital is just a tad more menacing than a handfull of PETA protesters shouting "Meat is Murder". Or a bunch of queers prancing around in a Gay Pride Parade. Wouldn't you?

What gets me is these people protesting "Obamas Totalitarian Socialism".
In Stalins USSR these pinheads would have wound up in the bottom of a mass grave before they got within a hundred miles of Moscow,--------------THAT's "Totalitarianism". Our government provides them with reserved space on the mall, crowd control, police escort, barricades, tents, and bicycle racks so they can go whine about how "abused and oppressed" they are. What a load of absolute bullshit. Probably even grilled hotdogs for the fat slobs.

Do I think they are "Great Americans"? Fuck no. I think they're a bunch of tools.

They got grilled hotdogs? I want one.

It's all mountians out of molehills imo. Or tempests in teapots. Or nearbeer in kegs.

One thing you can count on though - they're going to vote come hell or high water.

Any more cliches'?

Yeah, they vote, Pete.

But vote for what? That's the question. When was the last time those tossers over at the GOP did anything they said they would? They had their chance from 2000 to 2006...............
Oh that's right, "The Democrats wouldn't let us."
Now, that's truly pathetic.
Even Bush said so in his farewell speech.

Dave

P.s. And what "cliches"? I didn't use any cliches, you did.

Funny, I thought we socialized health care, rolled over for the Russians, raised taxes and made America more vulnerable to terrorists by eliminating torture. Guess I heard wrong- I was watching FOX.

Thanks, Westgate.

So much for doing things for "The love of country". People get mad at me when I say: "They're only in it for the money."

As I see it, Limbaugh was the lone wolf in conservative media for quite a few years.
Then came a few articles revealing the kind of MONEY he was making at it. Now we
have conservative pundits coming out of our assholes. Happenstance? I think not.
All of the sudden they all just LOVE America. Yeah, "patriotism", that's what it is.
Let's see, Beck, Palin, Hannity, Limbaugh---any of these clowns ever put THEMSELVES in harms way for this country? For $800 a month, like I did? My guess would be----NO.

For starters, the Dems have been getting things done. They've passed health care reform, renewed the START Treaty with further reductions is warheads, lowered income tax on working families, et cetera, et cetera. All of this was done despite record use of the filibuster by the Republicans and every trick in the book to delay, dilute or destroy anything Obamaq and the Democrats try to do, even if the Repubs liked the idea when they were in control.
