As near as I recall Lady MacBeth was not a very nice person.

Hmmmm.

Now THERE is a truly dangerous person...Michelle Bachmann. Combine an IQ somewhat short of body temperature with extreme right-wing wacko philosophy and you end up with someone who's going to be at the root of the next wacko shooting. I'm embarrassed to say I'm a resident of this state...and even more embarrassed that this woman has indicated she'd like to take a little trip to Iowa...right around caucus time. The woman's audacious gall seems to have no limit...RUN FOR PRESIDENT??? I am truly scared about this one...another comely female sans brain capturing the fantasies of the unwashed right. Ick.

As far as I am concerned anyone who quotes Jefferson is trouble, look at a collection of his quotations sometime, either they were taken out of context or the man could not make up his mind what he believed. Just be thankful he was in France during the debates.

Jefferson liked to talk for sure. I'm thinking he liked the sound of his own voice
And he did change his mind occasionally. And he was something of a hypocrite. But he was considered the Visionary of the Revolution and instrumental in it.

Finally, someone who's thinking a bit more clearly on this issue offers his take. Enjoy (Stephen Colbert):

I'm a big Jefferson fan. I particularly like that he made his own version of the Bible, deleting all the magic and BS.

Me too. I like him FOR his apparent hypocracy. It's a form of internal debate. A questioning of ones own beliefs. (Well, it SOUNDS cool anyways.)
So, how thick was the Bible after he deleted all of the "magic and BS"? About three pages?

You do know that he came back around to the church afterwards? Blue, you should read it sometime. Even if you think it's a fairy tale, it is an excellent story. Jesus was a true radical, how he bluntly cut up the establishment, be it priests or government, is awesome!
