I'm thinking that they screwed up the college football season having the nat'l championship game a week removed from the other major bowl games, after college hoops has entered conference play, and after the NFL playoffs are in full swing. It's kinda like, yeah, there's a game on, I guess. Even the TCU debate is going to seem like an after thought. But maybe Auburn will win with its one and done QB.

Bah Humbug,

I'm rooting for Oregon all the way. Several reasons - my sister lives there and my niece went there. My mother went to Alabama and they're big rivals with Auburn. Also, I'm sick of the SEC superiority complex. Lastly, if Auburn wins and gets the trophy yanked in a year or two when Newton gets exposed, it's small consolation for Oregon to get the trophy after the fact.

Go Ducks.

Pretty much sums it up for me.

Oh, and I'm so pissed that college bowl games are almost exclusively on cable (ESPN) this year. WTF! Sometimes it really sucks not to have cable.

It looks like Ms. Palin's defenders are unwittingly casting her as Lady Macbeth.

I saw. I was contemplating a response to the post previous to yours concerning being close to VT. Throw me in that brier patch.

As for the Stanford game, ouch. We looked fine the first half, the second half not so much.

QB Tyrod Taylor's graduating and a couple of the good running backs are leaving early for the NFL methinks. We're rebuilding next year, I suppose. Hopefully, Frank Beamer can get another 10 win season next year. He's now at 7 consecutive 10 win (or better) seasons - VT leads the NCAA in this stat.

I confess to a little intentional misdirection there. The temperature in these parts was already a little hot. If you want to stay the course, though, I'll duck.

OH, BTW it looks like the Sooners might bear the burden of preseason #1 next year (Unless Luck gets the rest of his supporting cast back).

Regards,

D-Ray

No responsibility? Pot/kettle time again, and/or selective indignation, you pick.

So far we've covered that:
  • the shooter ain't talking, so who knows what set him off
  • there's no evidence that the shooter is "right wing"
  • there's ample evidence he's a nut job and his particular brand of philosophy may be pretty difficult to pin down
  • there's no evidence he's been influence by anyone other than himself
  • not to mention that those who knew him called him "left wing"
  • there's ample evidence that other notable perps throughout our history had no need for Palin or Fox News to find their motivation
  • that a sitting President and his aids, a few "steps above" a news channel and a former governor, uses aggressive, suggestive rhetoric
  • the DLC used similar imagery to the "infamous" Sarahpac map, including "aggressive language"

You have nothing but dismissive comments regarding the behavior "your guy" while decrying the behavior of others. That's the definition of selective indignation. the fact that you continue to cling to a position that politicizes a tragedy is also quite sad.
