Who really rules the US.

If you think about it the answer is painfully clear - the bar.

No real comment at all? It is such an obvious truth, and no one ever mentions it.

Well, we do (presumably anyway) live in a country of laws, not men. That said, who better than a bunch of scum-sucking bottom dwellers to administer it?

I don't know if you read the David Stockman piece linked to in another thread. He makes the argument that we're, in fact, being run by the big Wall Street investment houses and banks. Maybe we're actually being run by MBA's rather than lawyers (the lawyers are just the "gophers" or enablers of the MBA's)- that's maybe even more frightening. Full disclosure - I have one of those worthless degrees (MBA) in my collection of sheepskin. It sure made me appreciate the relative difficulty of engineering school vs. business school.

Geez, someone forgot to tell me. Cool. Kneel down, I say, kneel down!

People like to quote the Shakespeare line "First, Kill all of the lawyers." That is advice to a tyrant, who would rule by force of personality rather than rule of law. Folks like Beck, Hannity and Limbaugh would love a world where there are no people trained to marshal the the facts and logically apply them to their arguments.

Regards,

D-Ray

D, I never said kill all the lawyers, just pointing out a little discussed fact.

Obama, Reid, 250+ of Congress, these are all tools of Wall Street?

And when laws are so complex that no one can understand them, that is not rule of law.
