I think he meant it and, if I understand what he meant, I agree. The indiscriminate nature of these killings means that the victims were probably good cops who wouldn't dream of behaving the way Wilson, Pantaleo, Mehserle, Gelhaus and other murderer cops have behaved. They were faithful to their calling as peace officers and innocent of the crimes for which they died.

I thought he meant that the Police wouldn't take reprisals against black people in general. I think a whole lot of black people are going to be dealt an extra ration of shit because of this irregardless of whether they are guilty or not.
The Dude who killed these cops checked out by his own hand, so the cops can't take it out on him. So they will be looking for targets of opportunity instead.

I also said in the same post that the good (or bad) cops are not going to take this sitting down and they would be well justified in their own minds. This is a form of terrorism against the cops and they do not stand down. Note the pursuit in the case of the shooter in PA.

Precisely.
This merely computes as an enhanced level of danger when dealing with the public.

All better now.
The danger to police hasn't changed appreciable but the danger to the rest if us has because now the police will be even moe likely to use deadly force as a first option.

Or they could turn their backs and avoid confrontation with the public.

Of course, this response is sponsored by their union.

Like there's no computable enhanced level of danger for the public when dealing with the police.
e.g. When the cop orders you to "jump" and you either fail to immediately jump or immediately ask "how high", you get the life choked out of you. Hell, even if you ask "how high" and don't immediately jump. You may get the life choked out of you, or your skull caved in with a nightstick, or a bullet in the top of your head when you're already down on your knees from having your skull caved in with a nightstick. Precisely...indeed.
