I can see why tRumpkins are upset about this. Diaper Don coming in a poor second to Adolph when he's done so much trying to emulate him

He is more Rudolph than Adolph if you ask me.

What bothers me today is the news that the Repugnant members of the House has asked the WH to provide documents if any to see if President Biden had a hand in Hunter's refusal to answer their subpoena. Hunter did agree but not in private.

Quote:
“In light of an official statement from the White House that President Biden was aware in advance that his son, Hunter Biden, would knowingly defy two congressional subpoenas, we are compelled to examine as part of our impeachment inquiry whether the President engaged in a conspiracy to obstruct a proceeding of Congress,” Comer and Jordan wrote.
Yet the same aforementioned Jordan refused to testify to the J6 committee on a much more serious matter, an insurrection launched by the then siting president.

Get real and read some history. The past was worse.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opini...ity-nostalgia/

Quote:
What we have not had before is a president who rejected democracy, attempted to retain power by force and wound up indicted on 91 criminal counts. So yes, four-times-indicted Donald Trump was worse than every president who preceded him. The resulting venom, violence and loss of faith in elections have taken a heavy toll on our democracy.

Where does that leave us? The past (especially the immediate past president!) was infinitely worse in myriad ways. (This is not to say that we don’t have our problems, from climate change to homelessness to suicide; we do, however, have more resources and knowledge to address these.) Conflict and even violence have been a constant presence in American life. But so, too, has been progress, albeit halting at times, toward greater freedom and prosperity. We generally are living healthier, longer lives. If nothing else, the 21st century is evidence that we are a resilient people.

So, as we look forward to 2024 be wary: Nostalgia, especially nostalgia for a time of less freedom, less opportunity and fewer rights for many of us, is the stuff of snake-oil salesmen. Instead, bet on American progress.
You know a snake-oil salesman, Whell? MAGA! :rolleyes :

Trump granted clemency to Medicare fraudsters before vowing to cut entitlement program abuse
https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...edicare-fraud/

Quote:
In an attempt to clean up comments he made this week about “cutting” entitlement programs, former president Donald Trump has vowed in recent days that he would reduce spending on Social Security and Medicare by targeting waste and fraud in those programs.

However, a review of Trump’s record shows that, in the closing months of his presidency, he used his clemency powers to help several people convicted in major Medicare fraud cases, including commuting the sentence of a man the Justice Department had described as having “orchestrated one of the largest health care fraud schemes in U.S. history.”
Anyone who pays to play with Donny will be pardoned, of course.

Russian Scientist Calls Trump 'Manchurian Candidate' For Putin
https://www.newsweek.com/russian-sci...-putin-1866547

Just watched the original 1962 version (much better than the Denzel remake). The possibility that the Orange Buffoon was groomed by the KGB is frighteningly brought to life in this great movie.
