finnbow, there is jeremiah wright. the guy preaches hate. A fake if i ever saw one. And to top it off he was the presidents favorite preacher of truth. Any pastor that condemns the Jew and Isreal isnt worthy of his standing as a preacher.

Been there, done that. Haven't you paid attention to the responses to any of your posts. This has been shown to be misleading. Yet you keep trotting it out. Read further in the same publication you cited. The turds you're trying to throw are way off target.

Something to think about...
“All religions, arts and sciences are branches of the same tree. All these aspirations are directed toward ennobling man's life, lifting it from the sphere of mere physical existence and leading the individual towards freedom.”
-Albert Einstein-
Just call me Pollyanna.

I do agree Pollyanna. At least most started out that way.

To a large extent, religions still are that way. It's the institutions which have grown up around them that have changed.
In the Catholic Church it has typically been nuns and monks who have "kept the faith" because they're pretty much divorce from the hierarchic power centers of the Church. As a result, they've managed to avoid being seduced.
The "Nuns On the Bus" are a pretty good example of what I'm talking about from the current times. Hildegard of Bingen from ancient times and Thomas Merton from more recent times are as well.
