I hear the Republicans say, after carefully analyzing this specific situation and weighing all the possible options, the problem is taxes are too high.

God, I love California and hope one day to move back should I be able to amass enough wealth to do so when I retire. But man, I hope they sort this mess out before I do. If ever there were a state that would benefit from being split in two, CA is it- or more specifically Northern California is it. There are some crazy folks down south and they're running the greatest state in the Union into the ground with the same crap that's running America into the ground.

Raise taxes now. Pay the bills.
