That's it? Some 94 year old guy is honored for fighting the Russians in defense of his country. Sure the 14th Division Galician Waffen SS did some serious injury to Poles but I've read that the Ukranians of the division didn't participate in that. If Ukraine has a NAZI problem so do we. Of course I have. I also know all about the
Company C, 1st Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment and Company B, 4th Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment, 11th Brigade, 23rd (Americal) Infantry Division, at My Lai, Vietnam on 16 March 1968.

One of the ways that Romanian men and Ukrainian men avoided being murdered by the Waffen SS, was to cooperate with the Waffen SS. The American boys were in no danger of being killed when they walked into My Lai that day...they just did it for the fun of it.
