No he will exercise his freedom by going without health insurance.
But who would in their right mind would turn down a $21 dollar premium?

As far as having a "team", I identify less with the positions and tactics of the Dems than I do the Repubs. At times, they disgust me equally. However, I do think that from Bush I to Clinton to Bush II to Obama, the government size and scope has increased dramatically, with the current administration dramatically advancing the reach of the Federal gov't.

The poster child for this expansion is PPACA: a horribly written piece of legislation that is hopelessly complex, is already a mess based on how it has been implemented, and I strongly suspect we've not accurately gauged the current and future impact of it.

I also reject what I regard are the naive or purposefully naive positions of those who suggest PPACA just needs to be "fixed". It needs to go away. Period. Its a massive over-reach into the health and insurance industries, a financial boondoggle, and an albatross around the necks of the economy and the tax payers. While PPACA may have a few, scarce redeeming qualities, then ends do not justify the means.

Regarding the House's lawsuit: there used to be principled Democrats who might be relied upon to speak out against abused of power in the executive office, no matter the political party of the occupant. Those days are gone - and they're gone for both political parties I'm afraid. The House has the power of the purse and can use it to blunt the impact of the over-reach, but they apparently don't think the political climate will sustain such a challenge to Obama. With the mainstream media apparently in the tank for most elected lefties, the lawsuit apparently is the only tool the House Leadership has left. If it were me, I'd like to think that I'd have the balls to go down swinging. However, unlike those inside the Beltway, I've never believed that my world lives or dies by what occurs in Washington DC.
Thanks for being candid about it all Mike. Needless to say I fundamentally disagree with most of what you're putting down and think you're over reacting to what the ACA does for the country. The 'pubbies had their chance to provide input when the PPACA was being crafted but instead they chose to listen to McConnell in the House. His screed about making this president a one term wonder through obstructionism/nullification won the day and here we are.

This talk track is tired as well as false.

More correctly, the Dems made a political calculation by accusing Repubs of talking all mean and nasty, and then closing the doors.

Time.

This just needs time.

SSA had to fight this scaredy-cat crap, too.

You really are an amusing debater when you snip the conclusion from my post Mike. Which grade were you in when they kicked you off the debate team for using such tactics?
