Mueller is throwing everything he can against Manafort, including Gates who can nail him. Increasingly it appears Manafort is the link to Russian collusion. If Gates can testify that Manafort was acting with Trump’s blessings, it’s the end of his presidency. That’s substantial.

Manafort and Mueller both need to be on the lookout for a Putin and what happens to his enemy's solution or remedy.

The broad fact is that post soviet Russia was the "wild, wild west" and under extreme pressure from various forces trying for dismemberment.
Vlad brought order and secured the country.
He is hated because he paid off Russia's debt, (no merry go round) did not allow foreigners to get control of its major assets and brought the powerful oligarchs - especially those with connection to the Globalists - under control.
Note: All hell broke loose (CNN and Newsweek) when he dismantled the "Darling of the West" Khodorkovsky.
Vlad inherited the Oligarch system and realized he had to work with it. However the flight of wealth is debilitating and exasperating; luckily for him the US congress and the UK govt. have come to his assistance in further coraling the oligarchs.
Oligarchs will now have to internalize their game and Russia is huge.

If he is the richest guy in the world, he will soon have to spend his riches in Russia.
Recently the UK govt which used to welcome Russian criminals has announced that unexplained wealth over 50,000 pounds will be confiscated.

Plenty of fine Western luxury goods are readily available in Russia for those who have the cash/credit.
Considering all the collateral damage we've generated in the Arab world for the sake of empire, pointing our that Putin is a bad man is a pointless point.

A top U.S. intelligence official told lawmakers on Tuesday that he has not received specific direction from the Trump administration to disrupt Russian cyberattacks targeting U.S. elections.
“I haven’t been granted any additional authorities,” National Security Agency Director Adm. Mike Rogers, who also serves as commander of U.S. Cyber Command, told lawmakers on the Senate Armed Services Committee.
While Rogers said he has not asked for additional authorities to stop Russian cyberattacks at the source, he noted that it would ultimately be up to President Trump to give him that permission.
“I need a policy decision that indicates there is specific direction to do that,” Rogers said.
