My kids know all of these classic quotes by virtue of me using them all the time around the house. They don't know their origins, however. They just think I'm a really witty, creative SOB.

same here, the one that irritates them however is antelope freeway, one mile, antelope freeway, 1/2 mile...

Seems I use this much to often when passing road signs on the highway.

In talking about the controversy concerning the Muslim faith today, I was reminded of how the lineage of Judaism and Islam both trace back to Abraham. Ishmael was Abraham's son by a concubine, and Isaac by his wife.

That made me think that the Bible did not pass any judgment on Abraham having a child by his concubine. Now for those who are literalists, does that mean it's OK for us to have concubines? Actually, I think it would be easier to sell the the church than to the wife.
