What temperature?
When I was a kid it was common for most homes to set their thermostatic at 78.
Of course all that changed after the oil shortages in 70's and afterwards.
So when I was a young adult I generally kept my home at 68.
Now that I feel the cold but I "have" to keep it at 65 because of the cost of fuel.
I was wondering, what temperature do you keep your home at on a Sunday afternoon when everyone is home?

65 or lower days, 58 nights. Unless it's a special occasion.
Tried 55 nights, hard to get out of bed in the morning!

Mr. DoasIsaynotasIdo, sets it at 67-68 in the winter and 73-74 in the summer. We need to keep it cool during the day in the summertime, because My wife sleeps days.
Pete, you need to get one of those programmable thermostats. Set it to automatically go up or down in the morning, and reverse direction when you go to work, then return to your desired setting a half hour or so before you usually get home.
Regards,
D-Ray

About 65 for this time of year but as soon as it drops to single digits that will creep up some.

70 year 'round.
When the weather is clement, I shut it off and open the windows.

Me too.
(Which is a big part of the year.)

thanks for all the replies
I find that at 65 on a Sunday sitting and watching a football game is downright uncomfortable even with two shirts and a sweater.
I wonder what happened to me I used to be the one who liked the cold?

We have it set at 69 winter 74 summer, although we have a programmable thermostat they do not work with heat pumps as you lose more than you save bringing the temp up.
