Today Trump declares "we're not going into Syria".

I guess we're going into Syria.

It occurs to me that republicans seem to view black, Mexican, LGBT, Muslims and poor people in the same light as Nazi Germans once viewed Jewish people. We must be vigilant that it goes no further.

We have military advisers in Syria. I hope this does not become the all too familiar "Mission Creep".

He's going to implement a Republican strategy with regards to Syria. Didn't they regularly say Obama wasn't doing enough?

Yeah but they all breathed a sigh of relief when Putin and Co came up with the plan to remove all his chemo buyout cause they would never have given Obama a yes vote on a missile strike. So far the only commentator who has gotten that story right is Tamara Kieth of NPR.

There are always consequences, intended or more often unintended with intervention. Choosing one's battles with the most solid available data and being willing to accept the consequences out of one's control is essential.
