If your kid represent a major public university in intercollegiate sport and before and after games they were compelled to pray in a team group, on the field, how would you feel? Would you react? If you would react, how would you react?
I would not react because I personally see no great harm in praying.

I don't care if individuals quietly pray, wherever they are. It's when they try to make prayer a matter of public policy and/or use it as a tool for financial or political purposes.

I am kind of surprised that most folks don't seem to have an opinion on this or care to share??. I really wanted some views to contemplate but here is my thought then.

Being compelled to be part of a prayer ceremony when representing your public school in intercollegiate play is freakin' rude and annoying. That said, I think the best way to handle a situation like this when a student athlete is confronted with it is to just go along. It sucks but it's only an annoyance that seems to make the less reasoned happy.

What gets my goat is when I'm trying to soak up a sermon and the damn preacher feels the need to announce the score of the football game.
I go to church for God talk, not to have sports shoved in my face.
