We're having a "cold snap" here.

High's around 70, lows around 50.

If you look at the historical averages for this time of year this is right about normal. However it feels like a cold snap because for the last month and a half temperatures have been averaging 10-15 degrees above normal.

Mother nature has several antidotes in her toolbox; fire, famine, floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, epidemics, etc. The list is endless and the humans can do very little against natural disasters.
