It is nice weather.

And I'm enjoying not having much in the way of heating bills.

But it's also ominous as a sign of climate change that seems to be accelerating.

Just came in from raking oak leaves, soaked with sweat. It's humid as hell too.

22 bags this time, 25 two weekends ago. (50 gallon bags.)

At least that's the last of it. I'm done until next fall. Gawd, what a mess!

Been there done that. Then I hit on the idea of blowing them out sort of evenly over the lawn, and mowing them in. That was better.

Me too.

Raking and bagging is a pain in the ass.

It's almost fifty degrees here and the wind is blowing 20. Time to dig out my old North Face down coat.

Time for Nancy to break out the Chevelle and go for a drive before winter sets back in, Dave.

My new house has no trees, so for the first time in 35 years I did not have to rake this year.....
