You're the on who called the Lee Greenwood song "pathetic". And celebrating those who have chosen to serve their country, including those who have gone into harms way and also supported relief efforts after the recent hurricanes, is hardly "militarism". Damn, you've got some pretty cynical ways of looking at the world, don't ya?

And the point of the protests is lost in the property rights and patriotic sideshow.

After learning that the DOD paid professional teams to present military displays at sporting events, there is plenty of room for cynicism. And yes, that Lee Greenwood song is about as bad a country music gets. That combination fits the definition of jingoism.

I spent 8 years of my life in the military. You? Trump?
Yes, that Lee Greenwood song is pathetic and jingoistic.

Says the guy who supports and defends every amoral and immoral thing Trump says. Furthermore, it is not politicizing Vegas to criticize the GOP when the only thing they ever do after a heinous mass murder is call for a moment of silence while denouncing those who believe that a debate on effective gun laws is in order. Their silent cowering in the face of the NRA is cowardice, plain and simple.

Sorry, you have to think the way Whell says to think, and like the songs he says to like, or you will be called sick, sad, cynicial, a heartless bastard, and no end of stuff.

You accepted without a peep, however, Trump's criticism of McCain's military service and a Gold Star family. Spare us your faux patriotic outrage.

Anyone recall Bush2 era's 'support the troops' bumper stickers?
The conversation should have been about the Iraq war and not displaying the idiotic bumper sticker. And what support did the troops get when they got back?
See a lot of similarity in this and again question, why play the national anthem in a game between two PPV private clubs?

I don't watch much golf, but I don't recall hearing the national anthem before those events, always on private courses. Huh. Are golfers, like Trump, unpatriotic?

What proof do you have that the event you referred to was "paid advertising"? If none, then why link it to the McCain/Flake report?
