A. I'm a little uncomfortable simply ascribing irrationality to a nation or its people simply because we don't have a real good read on them (or perhaps even because a real good read of them may result in us recognizing that they're reacting to us.)
B. And why is it exactly that Saddam is no longer a power check in that area? Might it have something to do with us invading them because we thought they may have WMD's? Sound familiar to the Iranian threat we're now hearing?

Yeah, I think they just might be crazy enough to use it.

Crazy enough to use one - after the first one Iran cease to exist.

Why are we so agitated about Iran when the Israelis have enough bombs to wipe out Iran?

Because the Conservatives want us to do Israel's bidding.

Problem with waiting - cities get gone.
Or are we endorsing a first strike by Israel?

I don't think they're perfect, but man they have a good reason to have a real military.

I'd personally like to sever our special relationship with Israel. The way I see it is that we pay them several billion a year and they cause us problems in their neighborhood. That's a fool's bargain IMHO.

Maybe if these other countries tried actually taking responsibility for their own problems and stopped scapegoating Israel then they wouldn't be causing the problems.
If we abandoned Israel what would stop all those Jew haters?

Don't know and it's not my problem. It seems our unwavering support for Israel just transfers the hate upon us. What do we get out of it (other than the ability for our politicians to pander for Jewish votes)?
