I'm curious as to how much money the government (local through federal) have tied up in the market.

I'm curious how many complainers from both sides of the aisle have 401K's and other "investments" in the market.

If you do then you are part of the problem and have noting to do with the solution.

So...lefties/righties on the board....how many of you have 401K or other "investments" or "retirement" plans based in the market?

D, do the labor unions invest pensions and dues into the market?

You're either part of the problem or part of the solution, right?

I plan on being part of the problem later in life. I'll let all of the youth of today take care of me when I'm old. I don't believe retirement will be much of an option anyway. The retirement age will be up to around 70+ by the time I get close

I think I understand what you're saying........but, part of what is happening today is a very determined movement to make sure you can't make the "youth of today" take care of you. They are even teaching their children to fight SS and Medicare (And a laundry list of other things.). They think you're a theif if you plan to draw SS or Medicare. These people don't give a flying fuck about you, me or anyone but themselves, and they are passing these "values" onto the next generation.

I hope they fail too, Rex. But, a wise man makes contingency plans. A fool underestimates his opponents.

Oh and retirement has NEVER been an "option". One day you will get too old, whether you're ready for it, or not.
If you're not prepared----Then what?

Dave

Hopefully I'll just die quickly at that point. By then I'll be far to big of a burden to society and will be euthenised like an old dog most likely.
