Finally getting something from Iraq...
Just read in a British aviation magazine that the US is looking at selling two squadrons of F-16 fighters to Iraq. Interesting...

No worries. Once they burn up their first tank of fuel, the Iraqis will think they're broken and abandon them in the desert.

Yep. A bunch of my friends did construction management building Saudi's infrastructure in the mid 70's. At that time, Saudi was just nosing its way out of the 13th century. They'd talk about how rich Sheiks would buy fancy Mercedes and abandon them in place when they burned through the first tank of gas. I heard this tale enough to believe it, as outlandish as it may seem.

Boy has it changed since then. At least 20 years ago I read an article in either Car & Driver or Automobile magazine that Ferrari keeps 3 full time techs in SA, gratis. They have huge underground climate controlled parking garages with a buttload of very very nice cars ready for the ruling class.

I suppose all the time that the Sheiks have spent in the cathouses of London has made them aware that the ladies dig Ferraris that run (not just as lawn ornaments).

Is it not amusing, they say they jkeep their women covered as a sign of respect and they abhor licquor. Yet get them out of town and the boozeand the women - wow. Then all the jihadists they caught had the lapr\tops full of porn.

Having driven a number of Ferraris, sometimes I think they make a better static art form than automobile. Well, when they run, their exhaust note is rather appealing. The best exotic I've had the pleasure to drive was a Porsche GT. Unlike a Ferrari, its engineering was impeccable.
