The German Chancellor at the White House.
The German Chancellor is going to visit the American President next Tuesday. I hope for some clarification regarding the future of the political relationship between Germany and the United States.

Will he treat her like a stateswoman or like a kitchen maid? I suppose that he will control himself during her stay and that he will twitter rubbish afterwards as usual.

I'm sure he'll threaten to nuke Munich if Merkel doesn't round up and execute the refugees.

I would hope that she accords Trump the respect he has "earned". LOL JK...I realize "adults" don't play that game.

Why is she even giving him the time of day?

I'm having a hard time finding any respect in that. If anyone crook,, liar or idiot can become president of the United states, lacking even basic qualifications, a moral center, or even basic american values, then the position is meaningless from a respect POV.

I wasn't thinking of the respect for the status angle. It's more the respect for the power angle.
