Armed Agents Are Allowed in Ballot-Counting Venues, Justice Dept. Tells Prosecutors
Former officials expressed fears that the department’s legal interpretation would allow federal investigators to intimidate vote counters or interfere with their work.

Billy Barr may very well attempt to steal the vote for Donny by stopping the counting via force. This is a very bad sign for our democracy...

Sets stage for armed confrontation with state law enforcement. State law almost certainly prohibits such presence, let alone interference.

If this were to happen I think most likely location would be Pennsylvania. Keeping the mail-in votes from largely Democratic areas from giving Biden. Donny needs to make up big ground to approach 270 EC votes. Barr may send in the agents to ostensibly guard the vote counting from the protesters who are already there to guard the vote counting.

I'm not seeing it. This would be crossing one hell of a line. Don't think Trump has the balls, and many prosecutors and other minions would balk.

Goodbye, Billy Barr

https://slate.com/news-and-politics/...bill-barr.html

Quote:
In just two years, Attorney General William Barr transformed the Department of Justice into a sleazy, third-rate law firm devoted to shielding Donald Trump and his friends from the consequences of their crimes. A coterie of attorneys with prestigious law degrees and sterling résumés joined Barr’s crusade to place Trump above the law. The attorney general’s tenure played out as a natural experiment: What happens when the embodiment of the right-wing Federalist Society becomes the nation’s chief law enforcement officer? The answer has been a ghastly disaster for the rule of law.

Now that Trump has lost reelection, Barr will soon step down. His departure will not undo the immense damage that he inflicted upon the Justice Department, which is supposed to enforce federal law fairly, impartially, and independently from the president’s whims. He has turned the principle of prosecutorial independence into a farce. It will take years to persuade Americans that the attorney general is anything more than a glorified bag man for the president.

Trump's presidency has been a “radical break from precedent" since day one.

Looks like the new phrase is, "Violating the Norm".

Norms, AKA precedents, are pretty dad gummed important in the law, particularly for the highest ranking lawyer in the country.

In the AG's case, is breaking with precedent breaking the law?
