As Reagan grinned at the camera, popped a grape in his mouth and told the world how delicious California grapes are.
Right then, he should have been dragged off to the nearest vineyard and forced to pick grapes for a week straight of 12 hour days. His pampered, privleged ass probably would have dropped from heat stroke.

That wouldn't surprise me in the least.
Phuck St. Ronnie of RKO and his merry band of dickish and glassy eyed acolytes.

Watched " W" on Showtime. Josh Brolin stars as W. It has some real funny parts. It showed Father Bush crying when he lost to Clinton.
There is a very memorable scene: Colin Powell is up against Dick Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rice. He argues cogently against the invasion to the point
where Dick Cheney had to resort to unvarnished imperialist matrix...we have to control the OIL.
Apart from his politics one is forced to admire W Bush fight to overcome his alcoholic dependency.
Worth seeing.

I always heard that it was Laura who forced that one on him. I did see it and I still can't stand what the one truly illegitimate president did to this country. F**k him and his father. Blue nosed Yalie's who did great damage to our troops and our economy, nevermind the half million Iraqis' whose deaths are on Gee Dubya's hands. Sorry, I don't admire one thing that idiot did. I guess I'm crazy that way.

It's available on Vudu too. Always been curious about that one. I may watch it tonight.
Thanks for the heads-up.

I don't believe that for a minute.
I think he was still hitting the sauce in the White House.
I never bought the "Pretzel" story.

Not that I care.

Having seen so many wrecks...a dentist who lost his practice, a friend who lost his wife and children, another who despite help from his co-workers and
generous aid from his union is teetering on losing a very good well paying job,
I carry a soft spot for the individual struggle against alcohol.
While watching the movie I could not help but compartmentalize; that is, extract alcoholic Bush from warrior Bush.

The trouble is one informs the other. Alcohol pervades everything about a person. Everything he does - everything Bush did - was in some degree a product of his addiction. This is true whether his addiction was active during his presidency, which it seems to have been, or whether, as his apologists would have it, he was a "dry drunk".

Harvard grads are SO much better.
Been watching 'Air Disasters' on Netflix. A couple of the episodes are absolutely brilliant.

I will be thinking about them next flight though. I've also been surfing youtube, things like Burns and Allens pilot and Jack Benny on You Bet Your Life, funny stuff.
Bob I agree about The Heat, hilarious!
