Yep. Luckily it seems to be confined to just a few hotspots though.

Mr. Z has his domestic disturbance with his first fiancee, which forever precludes him from becoming a licensed, armed police officer. He has his resisting arrest altercation with the police from his friend getting arrested for being drunk. He has his vigilante wrongful death with Trayvon. He has the speeding tickets. He has this domestic assault and battery with the wife and her dad.

He is a poster child for thousands of NRA members. Why?

Excellent question, Dave.

He got away with murder and has not shown any remorse for his actions. They just love that kind of stuff.

The fact that he is the son of a judge so the authorities did not lift a finger until after it became a cold case and probably wouldn't have if they weren't forced to don't count.
Remember, the sheriff did get fired.

1. This was a case of self defense.
2. He defended himself effectively by owning a gun.
3. He had a CC permit to carry that allowed him to hide a gun on his person for defending himself.
4. He was a neighborhood watch guy in a private community and had every right to follow a perceived intruder.
5. When the stalking led to a confrontation, he defended himself by lethal force.
6. Florida's SYG statute was effectively used for self defense with gun ownership and CC permit.

Those are major selling points for NRA. If one skips the real story, makes a great sales pitch for NRA_Pierre & handgun sales climb through the roof. Imagine the publicity from this guy's visit to the Kel-Tec.

Sorry but point 4 is incorrect, he was a self appointed watchman, the real Neighborhood Watch would not have touched Zim with a stick.

Kel Tec needs all the publicity they can get, they are one step above a Saturday Night Special, I would not own one as a gift.

Oh yeah - screw the NRA.For a country that has pretty well ignored the Constitution why not dump the 2nd as well.
