Democrats help Johnson pass GOP bill to avoid government shutdown
https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/hous...y?id=104877426
Enough Repubes finally put on their big-boy pants and voted responsibly, along with most of the Dems. Still 90+ Repube whiners, those in Whell's World, still voted Nay.

George Santos announces he won’t seek reelection following damning Ethics Committee report
https://www.cnn.com/2023/11/16/polit...ort/index.html
Sorry, Georgie boy, you need at least 5 years to get the pension you wanted so badly. Hope they put you behind bars for a long time; perhaps you will share a cell with Donny.

^^Even more importantly,
Quote:
“Representative Santos’ conduct warrants public condemnation, is beneath the dignity of the office, and has brought severe discredit upon the House,” Reps. Michael Guest (R-Miss.) and Susan Wild (D-Pa.), the committee’s chairman and senior Democrat, said in a joint statement.
|
Quote:
Guest will file a motion to expel Santos Friday morning, according to a person familiar with the plans who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private conversations. The House can consider the motion upon its return from its holiday break on Nov. 28.
|
I believe this is the beginning of Santos expulsion process from the House. Way way too much baggage (despite the thin majority for the Repugnants), not that even with this majority, they have any unanimity in the House of Clowns.

DeSatan’s State Guard partners with combat-training company to recruit, train members
https://amp.miamiherald.com/news/pol...281900093.html
Quote:
To recruit and train members of a civilian military force under his control, Gov. Ron DeSantis’ administration has hired a company that specializes in combat training and lists as one of its instructors a former U.S. Navy SEAL accused of war crimes.

I like how they spin the Fla National Guard into a "civilian military force under his control". No shit, every states NG are "civilians" (citizen soldiers) commanded by their respective governors. Talk about the spin machine trying to sensationalize and generate outrage.
And civilian contractors training the military is 1000% normal.
No I am not a fan of the Fla governor, but this is just a hit piece.

What happens to the DeSantinista's after he leaves office? The FL governor is term limited to two terms. Would Meatball simply refuse to leave office? Would he use his private militia to stay in office?

Its is not that... do you know what the NG is?
But sure, go ahead and feed the machine!
Reads like a reporter adjusting the facts for a story. The non-NG element would have zero authority, think Blackwater. Even if he tried to use this company as his "private army" do you really believe the Florida NG, under a new governor, and the Fed Gov would just sit back a watch?
