It is a pretty heavy deck....seemed in good condition. If it had been $20 I might have got it.
I am actually listening to an Akai table with a M92 right now.

I've been reading a lot of good things about the Ortofon Omega, supposedly a great $31 budget cartridge.
Remember picking up an AT95E for a friend and mounting it on his Phillips. Although a highly rated budget cartridge, it sounded like a budget cartridge.
Thinking it was perhaps the phono stage in the ancient Sansui 3000 we were using for a test bed, I install my AT 440ML on a nondescript table and tried it...the difference was night and day, to say the least. I bought the 440ML when they were closing them out for $59 on Amazon, and got $20 off for applying for a credit card...now THAT WAS a budget cartridge. Very similar to my Ortofon Super 40 at basically 10x the price.
I'm more partial to Ortofons than Shures, they're more lively in my estimation. I like a lively cartridge.
